    1. I agree, but there is more to it than that to be a good digital citizen. You have to be kind, yes, but you also need to be considerate to others religions and also have appropriate messages and posts.

  2. I feel the responsibility's of a digital citizen are to act nice twords others and never take inappropriate pictures because that will make others uncomfertable and it will make you look bad, you won't be very popular.

    1. Also don't show people your private stuff. That's bad.

    2. I agree because if you post something bad or inappropriate, it can be traced back to you, and even if you delete it, somebody else could have taken a screenshot of it. It will be part of your digital footprint forever.

    3. I agree because other people might not have the same feelings about certain pictures or some things you say online.

    4. i agree with that you shouldn't be posting pictures because you could give to much information like your location

    5. Right, I forgot about that. that brings up a good point on what to or what to share on Social Media.

    6. I agree that you should not post inappropriate pictures but also you should always be mindful that some pictures can be offensive

  3. I think that you should be aware that anything you post you might not be able to take it back. I do not have much in the way of social media except for emails right now.

    1. I feel The same. Social media get bad if you post something that do not posted later.

    2. I also agree, I could delete this comment right now, but on some other Social Media websites you can't detete anything! if you accadently post a bad word or someone somehow learned your password they can axess anything they want and they can post bad things that you would never post. this I why you never give out your password.

  4. I think it's your responsibility to be safe online and not give away your location. You also shouldn't harm people on purpose and be offensive. You shouldn't give your private stuff, or some one else's private stuff. Those are the basics on you responsibility.

  5. To be kind and not share everthing about yourself, like do not tell all your followers where you live, or your social security number, also you could stop cyberbullies if yu see them.

    2. I agree with both of you but you shouldn't troll yourself because you just said that trolls are annoying.

      Delete
    3. How could you do that? I don't understand why anyone would troll others at the least troll them self!

    1. I am also confused what you mean by "And of course this blog." it makes no sense what you are talking about.

  8. you can be a good digital citizen by not be bully on multiplayer game or using your digital Scorsese

  9. Some of the responsibilities as a digital citizen are to be kind to other people online and to think before you comment something negative. Instead of posting something negative, you could not post a comment at all if you don't agree. Use your school email address for school purposes instead of sharing cool things or being rude.

    1. I agree though if you have a private group with your friends... if they send at the right time.

    2. I agree, And if you are rude it might come to your life outside the computer, that could be bad!

      Delete
    3. and I think if you rude to someone else and that person sent something back to you, you would feel bad of what that person said of you and you can't take it back.

    4. being kind is very important and posting something positive

  10. as a digital citizen one of your responsibilities are not to cyber bulling, and not plagiarizing.Like not coping a whole paragraph for a school report

    1. Yes I agree with you! It's very important to be kind to people.

      Delete
    2. I think this is true, but at the same time it depends on how long the paragrph is, if you have the rights to it or not, and finally if you source it.

      Delete
    3. It is very important to not cyberbully, because it could be traced back to you. You can't take it back once it is posted. It's like if you squeeze toothpaste out of a tube. No matter how hard you try, the toothpaste won't go back into the tube. Once the damage has been done, it can't be taken back, no matter how hard you try.

    4. I agree. Plagiarizing is unfair to the author who wrote whatever you copied. They didn't work hard to make something just so people could copy it.

    5. Solomon, I agree that if you have the rights to someone, you can use it. But the paragraph length doesn't always matter. Plus, if you alter it, it's not legal.

  11. I think it's very important to be careful who follows you, because you never know who could be behind the screen, unless you know them personally.

    2. I agree with you Nora. Lots of kids just care about how many followers and likes, they have. Not a lot of people stop to think about who might be receiving the information online. As the videos have shown us, people can get a lot of information about you just be looking at your social media.

      Delete
    3. I would say the same, because if a random person you didn't know follows, it would be weird. That person could be posting weird stuff on his page, or you put up something to say something to one of your friends, and that person you followed would know what you are talking about or something like that.

  12. I think digital citizen should be careful on how much info you share and to not cyberbully.

  13. Some of the responsibilities as a digital citizen include, not posting rude comments.
An example of how you could be a responsible digital citizen is, when you're watching a youtube video and you don't like it, rather than being mean about it and calling the video, lame or dumb, you should just not comment.
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it.

    1. Do you even know what it means to be triggered, if you do and plan on not being offensive tell me what it means to be triggered, becuase you making a big thing small.

    2. I hate when i watch live streams and the people are saying their exact location.

  17. I think your responsibility is to think twice of what you going to say, like if you are sending something out in the public, you need to think of what you are saying. You need the responsibility to what you say and your information, or what you put up; or texted back to someone.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes I agree because you cant take back what you say

      Delete
    2. I think that is very true; but also in the sense that sometimes you post something and it ends up being offensive, that also applies to the real world where you can say somethiing wrong and rude, but in this world you do not have the chance to re-read what you say and your tone also matters.

    3. I agree with you Elaina! Even if you delete what you say someone could've took a screenshot, or something like that.

      Delete
    4. I agree. Once it's out there, people can re-post, and save what you say. So just because you think it's gone, it could still be out there.

    5. Yes screenshots can be awesome but they can also be bad.
